 ‘Aapka Vote, Aapki Taqat’ campaign reaches Delhi

New Delhi, May 02: In its bid to motivate the electorate to vote in the Lok Sabha elections, Zee News on Saturday reaches the national capital with India’s biggest and widespread initiative, ‘Aapka Vote, Aapki Taqat’, with the support of the Election Commission of India.

With its initiative Zee News plans to motivate citizens, especially the youth, to exercise their ‘Right to Vote’ judiciously. 

To make the campaign a success the channel has partnered with nation’s leading youth organisation NYKS (Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan) in partnership with NSS (National Service Scheme) and social organisation like ABJCM (Akhil Bharatiya Jan Chetna Manch). The campaign is also supported by Times Foundation “Sahabhagi”. 

The nationwide campaign is asking the youth to register and enrol in the campaign. Later, the youth would also be asked to put their signature and pledge to vote as their duty towards the nation. 

The event in Delhi would comprise skits by students of Lady Irwin College and other Delhi University colleges to generate awareness about the importance and significance of voting for a better tomorrow. Finally, the activities will culminat with a ’Candle March’ that will attempt to encourage people to take pledge of casting their vote judiciously. 

The channel will also organise an interactive session with Election Commissioner SY Quraishi, Magsaysay Award Winner Rajinder Singh, famous actor Roshan Seth, noted journalist Prabhash Joshi among others.
